sterling silver mini sparrow ring

These tiny solid sterling silver sparrow skulls are one of my favorite creations to date, and a skullery original. I made a mold of a real sparrow skull (poor thing was found mummified in the walls of an old house), then shrunk it down using a special casting compound. The resulting skull is a tiny version of the original, measuring just 1/2" long.

These silver pieces are handmade by me every step of the way in my tiny metal shop, using the lost wax casting method.

Like all of my jewelry, these come packaged in one of my kraft hand stamped jewelry box.

Silver will tarnish naturally over time, I suggest cleaning them periodically with a jewelry polishing cloth when you want to bring back the original shine. These sorts of cloths remove tarnish but leave the dark patina in all the nooks and crannies that bring out textures and details. Tarnish removing liquid solutions will remove both tarnish and patina.
