A magpie skull, cast in clay!
Made from molds I made of a real skull that I altered, these have a crackle glaze and a halo of 22k gold luster.
These are made to fit chime candles, which measure 1/2" wide. I will include a few candles with each skull. They are designed to fit the candle snuggly for stability. You may need to slim the end of each candle very slightly to fit, some chime candles I've bought seem to be slightly thicker than others.
Burn on a level fireproof surface and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Handmade by me in my Maryland studio. Measures 2.5" long.
This is a PREORDER and will take up to 4 weeks to create and ship. Each piece is cast, let to dry out slowly, then fired 3-4 times in the kiln after applying each surface treatment.
You have the option to order one with an additional mother of pearl luster. This can be striking or subtle based on lighting conditions, it is best seen in the video example.
